I treated myself to some new brushes and a workshop with @leannefergeusart over the weekend and I had a lovely time!

It was a good reminder that sometimes we don’t need to justify our art purchases by selling or having a ‘side hustle’. Sometimes the enjoyment and health benefits are more than enough.

(and no, I haven’t given up polymer clay, I just haven’t had the energy or strength for it since having covid last month 😔)

It’s been a slow start to the year on socials but not in real life!

I’ve been busy making some new products in between recovering from being sick as well as doing some experiments which I’ll share with you over the coming weeks.

Recapping 2023 is, as always, emotional as I refle

Recapping 2023 is, as always, emotional as I reflect on the year that was. It has brought highs, lows and everything in between.
But I’m choosing to focus on the positives that have come out of this year.

🎨 I’ve run almost 80 workshops this year.
🎤 I was asked to speak at an International Women’s Day event.
💎 I have sold hundreds of pieces of jewellery this year.
💗 I am working harder (and getting better at) at ensuring I carve out time to get creative for no other reason than to create art for arts sake!
🌟 I invested in this ‘side hustle’ financially which is beginning to pay off.
🥰 I have received many messages from customers telling me how much they love their new art/jewellery.

As some of you may know, this business takes a bit of a back seat to my main source of income/employment - @thewhimsicalbead . Not intentionally, but running The Whimsical Bead and dealing with my numerous chronic illnesses (which is a job in itself) doesn’t always leave me with a lot of energy or spare time.
Nevertheless, it brings me lots of joy so it’s not going anywhere!

Thank you to everyone this year who purchased from me, supported me online or in person and those who always have my back no matter what.
I appreciate each and every purchase, like, message, follow, email…..everything!
