This is the current state of my studio. It’s been so long since I spent any real time in here.
To be honest, I’ve not really had the motivation.

I’ve been so busy and focused working during the pandemic to keep @thewhimsicalbead alive that my creativity has definitely taken a hit.

My life has been turned upside down this past 18 months and I’m finally starting to not feel guilty about the state of my studio.
As an organised and tidy person, the space was giving me quite a bit of stress but today I’m looking at this as an opportunity to reorganise and renew.

I’m actually excited to start planning the space.
Any suggestions???

On @ruokday today, I think it’s important to remember that this day is so much more than one little question.
It’s so much more than just one day.
It is so important to not just listen to someone after asking them if they are ok, but to really hear what they’re saying.

Now that more and more people are becoming comfortable with checking in on loved ones and asking them how they are, it’s time to focus on what comes next.
It is so important to start the conversation but asking the question can’t be the end of the conversation.
We need more solutions and actions for issues that are affecting so many more people than ever before.

Let’s look after each other and advocate for better mental health awareness and services every day. Not just just day.

Working on some new things for @thewhimsicalbead …..

I’ve been doing a little bit of experimenting in the background but my jewellery has mostly been put on hold at the moment as I have so many other projects on the go for The Whimsical Bead which I am really excited about.

The website is still being updated with stock and I’ve got some pieces here to finish off and list which I’ll do later in the month. It’s nice to just be able to do a bit here and there as art therapy!

I have decided to not do releases anymore and instead I’ll be adding pieces to the website as they’re made. This means stock will always be available and there’s less pressure on me to adhere to deadlines!
